The XII Annual Conference “Oil and Gas Service in Russia” (Neftegazservis-2017) was held in the InterContinental Hotel, Moscow, October 17, 2017.
The conference was attended by the supervisors of the oilfield services alliance “Vertically Integrated Oil Companies” and the top managers of major drilling, geophysical and oilfield services companies.
During the event the participants discussed weak points in the Russian oil service sector, problems of technology and equipment localization, the role of authorities and customers in establishing the oilfield services market, the interaction of customers and service contractors.
Within the framework of the conference there were roundtable discussions dedicated to such sensitive issues as “Strategic Development and Technological Programs of Oil and Gas Companies in the Exploration and Production Sphere” and “Up-to-date Tools for Successful Sales to Oil and Gas Companies”. The conference also included a special workshop on “Drilling Fluids” sponsored by Oilfield Services Company AKROS. During this working session the participants heard several reports made by representatives of such companies as Rosneft, Gazpromneft-NTC, Halliburton and SSK. Petr Ryabtsev, AKROS’ Deputy General Director for Operations Support and Development of New Products, spoke on “Survey of New Technologies Used in AKROS in 2016-2017”.
A new wall map “Russian Oil and Gas Service-2017” was presented at the conference. It informs market players about large hydrocarbon deposits in the territory of the Russian Federation. The 2017 map was supplemented by information on investment plans of oil and gas companies for the development of major fields, production drilling, and geologic exploration activities.
The culmination of the event was the presentation of awards to the best oilfield service contractors based on the results of the annual direct poll among oil and gas companies. The poll included the following: field geophysics, seismic and VSP survey, wireline well services, production and exploration drilling, MWD, horizontal directional drilling, side-tracking, bit services, well servicing and workover, remedial cementing and fishing, drilling fluids engineering services, well cementing, coil tubing, hydraulic fracturing, and ESP maintenance.
Oilfield Services Company AKROS was recognized as the best in “Drilling Fluids Engineering Services” group for the third consecutive year. The award was accepted by Andrey Korolev, AKROS’ General Director.
